I have heard of folks successfully using Elmiron instills. It is fairly common here in northern California. It's worth a try if you tolerate being catheterized, or if you find that the Elmiron helps enough to make it worth it. It can be a good way to "jumpstart" the oral form which takes longer to work. Iam having Elmirion/DMSO instillations,I had 6 wks ,every wk, did well for few months(Fantastic) thought I was cured. Then it came back,usually stress trigers,so I am back on treatments, every 2nd wk,doing well. It was somewhat uncomfortable and cramping, but Iam doing better with it. Cutting out caffiene and chocolate ( well doing my beat) as help alot. Hope this helps Tracey
