I was on the pill nonstop for the past 6 months because of some Endo and even before that I didn't have a lot of times pain during menstruation. So I don't really remember anymore how that mentrual pain feels.

Yesterday my first menstruation started again after this long time and I have pain but as much as I try I have no idea if its because of menstruation or IC. Its exactly in the middle of my lower abdominal and it feels like my organs there want to fall down, but I have no idea if it is my bladder or my uterus. I actually don't have much problems with my bladder today, like going on the toilet every half an hour and all the time feeling full. Its actually quite a normal day, only this pain.

Let me tell you that I never had such pain before because of IC, I usually only have some burning in Urethra but never abdominal pain as some of you describe. I am afraid that after some burning in last weeks I may have a worseing in my IC and that this is the IC pain you all talk about.

Can you tell me how you know if its IC pain or just a painful menstruation? When you talk about pelvic pain, where is this? How does it feel?

Im really down now because of this. As far as I can remember, I would think its because of my menstruation but I am not sure anymore.

Help?

I had a hysterectomy before IC so I can't speak from my own experience. However, many people with IC report that symptoms are much worse around their menstruation. Before my hysterectomy, I had severe cramps. When I have a bad IC flare, it feels much like those cramps.

I hope you feel better very soon.

Warm healing thoughts,
Donna

I put a hot watter bottle nwo on it and it helps. I also took Tramadol after 2 Naproxens 200mg didn't help. It feels like menstrual cramps, I sometimes had them but then I just went and did them away with sports but I am too tired today to do sports.

I hope its menstro, I just can't imagine that after a very good week and me actually being very calm and never having this before, I would suddenly get such a worsening in my IC.

Thank you Dona. You are always so kind, just like everybody else.

*tight hug* I hope you feel good today.

Nah, Im ok. I think it was just a menstrual pain (I hope so). I used to have those before I started mountainrunning, fitness and blading 10 years ago. Now I am not doing any of those for almost a year and I haven't had a menstruation for 6 or so months because of taking the pill nonstop so I guess it was bound to be a hurtful one. I feel ok now.
