NEW DOCTOR!!!
I went to see the new URO at Stanford Medical Center on Tuesday.
I left home on Monday morning to catch the train in Modesto (50 miles away) Thought this would be worth a try. No more looking for clean bathroom or using a Travel John (which are really handy). Got off the train about 2 hours later, a life long friend was picking me up and 10 minutes later we were at her house.
In the Oakland Hills.
Train travel for me is the answer, it was perfect. What an enjoyable trip!
Tuesday morning got up, went VERY easy on anything liquid. Drove 30 minutes before having to stop for a potty break (that is wonderful for me). We arrived at the hospital about an hour early (I didn't want to chance being late). So we went to get something to drink, I was really thirsty by this time, but was happy that I waited.
Walked into Dr. Payne's office 20 minutes early and was taken in that very second.
First, I talked to a resident and 3rd year med student, both were great. Then they went out of the room and then the sweetheart of a nurse came in to get me a gown for the exam. Dr. Payne came in and talked to me for just a second explained what he was going to do and did it. Near the end of the exam it hurt like heck! But he was very gentle and caring. He helped me side back up on the table and gave me a little hug to reassure me and left the room so I could dress. Dr. Payne and resident and the 3rd year student ALL came back in the room to talk to me.
What a great feeling to know that there are people out there that really do care about what IC does to us.
I will be having major surgery. Monday June 7th and 4 weeks after that surgery I am to call Dr. Payne and make and appointment for a Cysto W/hydo/UA. And he said we would go from there and he is happy with what my PA ans OB/GYN are doing so far. Dr. Payne truly fills a room with his presents! And this is a good thing. After we were finished with all that could be done and said they all shook my hand and Dr. Payne gave me a real hug, one that lets you know that he will do everthing he can for you.
On the 7th I will be having a sigmond resection ( just what I need one more big scare on my belly and 2 less overies):D
So if you will all keep me in your prayers I would be grateful.
I also have an appointment later this month to see my new psychologist to help me learn to live with IC and depression that I fight every day.
 To all of you!
