Hi Everyone.

Has anyone else on here had allergy issues? I have for the last two weeks been experiencing itchy skin all over randomly as well as prickly feelings, especially on my legs that come and go. I also get these intense random itches on various parts of my skin where all of a sudden I will get this intense itch and I will scratch that area and there will be a red blotch there and maybe a couple tiny little bumps. After about a half an hour that red blotchiness is gone, but there remains the two little bumps. They are small like the size of a ball point on a pen. I also will get other reactions that come and go like burning and flushed cheeks and also sometimes my lips will burn and get this red line around the edge of my lips( almost like I have lip liner on):dizzy: this is crazy!

I have never had these type of sensations until last May when I had to take diflucan for a supposed yeast infection. After I took that pill I ended up getting all these type reactions. They did go away after awhile and I was fine up until two weeks ago when It started again. I obviously have not taken anymore diflucan since last year. This all started after I ate some carob brownies two weeks ago. But the thing is, I have not eaten anymore carob brownies since this started two weeks back. I am not on any new meds so I have no clue what is causing this.

I plan on visiting my allergist when I can get in to see him. The only meds I take are keflex low dose once a day to prevent UTI's, I have been on that for over three years. I also take zyrtec( generic) once a day and have been on that for 6 months. I once asked my allergist if I could all of a sudden get hives and allergic reaction from something I have been on for a long time. He said that usually you would react to something right away, or like for instance if you took something, stopped it for awhile and then went back on it, you have a chance for a reaction. Not usuallu when you have been consistently taking something daily.

Anyone have any thoughts on this or ideas??? Any replies are greatly appreciated.

If you can't get in very soon to see your allergist, I suggest you see your primary care doc for immediate help.
