Hi everyone, I'm suffering and I need a word of encouragement and prayers.
I am getting really frustrated with these two diseases endometrisosis and ic cystitis. I got tired of following the diet and trying to be healthy. I fell off the diet and ate whatever I wanted and now I am suffering because of it. My endometrisis is worse, on my right ovary I have a cyst that was removed and is back. I also have the ic cystitis acting up, my stomache is bloated and painful. I have been getting burning pains in the middle of my stomache. It is painful to walk and to sit down. And sex is definatley out of the question. Every time I go to the doctor I feel like he just wants my money and to perform another surgery on me that will make me worse. My job is not very understanding when I have to take time off every month because my periods are horrible. I'm just feeling hopeless and out of control. I feel like I can't enjoy food that I loved and I'm having a hard time eating right. :help: Does anyone know of a good specialist for endometrisosis and urology in Boston,Ma? Thanks for taking the time to listen to me and I do hope that you get well soon.

i feel your pain. i live in arizona, so i can't recommend a doctor. but i am in the same boat as you. have you considered going on intermittent fmla? your doctor fills out paperwork for your employer. when you have to take a day off because of your ongoing medical condition, this protects your job for up to 12 weeks. i believe you have to have worked full-time for 12 months at your job before you're eligible.

also, are you on birth control? i hated being on birth control and quit many years ago. now i don't really have a choice. i was on loestrin 24, but it didn't help. now we're trying depo prevera. i'm only a few weeks in, but combined with cymbalta (for depression), i'm doing pretty good and haven't had a period yet even though i was scheduled to.

anyway, best of luck. you are not alone and can get through this! :hi:

If you look on Facebook, there are groups for endometriosis. My daughter got good recommendations from just asking there! I hope that helps!

Hi Laurie! I am in your area, and I sent you a PM with a doctor recommendation; I just hope you haven't tried this doctor already! Best wishes! :)
