Hello Ladies,

As you know, January is Cervical Cancer Awareness month. Please remember to have your annual pap screening, and remind the women in your life to get their screenings, too.

I went for several years without a screen, and was diagnosed with an early form of cervical cancer this fall. Luckily, I had a super oncologist and a successful surgery and am doing just fine. Thank God I had my screen when I did, as waiting could have made things worse. I have a six-month check up in May and am keeping my fingers crossed that the cancer won't come back. It took this frightening experience to open my eyes to the importance of a yearly pap.

I am 25 years old and just got my 1st clean pap since 2009. I had cervical cancer and had my cervix removed. Please Please do not have ot go through this! PAPS!!!!!!

I have been battling severe (CINIII) cervical displaysia since July. My pap smear came back CINI in February, and it is scary to think how fast it had progressed! Thankfully, I have always gotten my paps regularly, and I am being monitored closely. I just had a LEEP in August, but unfortunately my last pap in December showed no improvement. I have my next one in March, and if things are still the same, or worse, we will be talking about the next step.

I don't have kids yet, and I'm really worried I now may never get to.
