I finally got the results from my CT scan today and Doctor said its not to bad. She said I have minimal buldging of discs . She said it is least to worry about and could be corrected and prevent from herniating. That sounded wonderful and I should thank my lucky stars and count my blessings but my lower back pain is constant and radiates into my hip and knee. Ouch it hurts almost everyday at least when I work. I get regular massages and go to a chiropractor now with little relief. She said we can consider physical therapy. Which I am deciding because right now I have 2 days that I go to these appointments and they are all book up with uro, chiropractor and specialist to add therapy I am not sure I can make time right now. She said she knew I was dealing with alot and maybe when my treatments end in July I can start therapy.Plus the money is getting so tight. My hubby has degerate disc disease and his meds with mine and both our doctors appointments we are working just to support our health. Yikes..... I hate to complain I know many of us have this problem and some worse but this has been for 2 years. It adds up.... My hubby lost his second job just 2 days ago with no warning they stated financial difficulties and wished him well. At least they gave him 3 weeks vacation pay. Anyway sorry for rambleing and hope they can fix me soon.:D

I know how you feel! I have had horrid back pain for years with no relief from anything ever! And I'm only 18! Just learning to live with it. But it makes it hard to do many things! Where is your pain at? Mine is my whole back, plus really bad in my neck and gives me headaches almost every other day. Then 4 months ago I got this sharp pain in my very lower back in the middle...not sure what that is from. The doctors were no help! I'm hoping it is from the IC and once I get that under control it will start feeling a little better. It has been non-stop ever since I got the pain. Not one second without it! AHHH!!!
Sorry about your husband losing his job, that sucks!!! And sorry your in so much pain all the time! Just wanted to let ya know your not the only one out there! And if you ever find anything thats help pleaseeeeeee let me know!! Oh one more question...I have found that constipation make the pain worse, does this happen to you? So I'm trying to regulate myself out so I'm not constipated or have diarrhea all the time to see if thats helps. Well just thought I would see if your pain in similar to mine. Best of luck!!!

Big Hugs and a :kissing: Kelly!!
I am sorry things are so tough.
I strongly recommend PT. I was just released today
from PT for bulges in my neck and back and three dehydrated
lumbar disks. YES!!!!
It took many months...but it has helped soooo much!! I waited too long to get help and had developed numbness in my left thigh, so it took extra long to heal. I still have intermittent numbness but I can work it out with home exercises now. The neck is completely healed!!
I appreciate the difficulty of fitting it all in. I work 3 days, had PT twice a week, still have pschotherapy once a week, and then multiple trips to GYN, URO, monthly DMSO and PCP to fit in too. UGH...and then people wonder why we are always so tired!!! Aaaahhhhh!!! :bonk:
But I think the PT was soooo worth it. It has made a HUGE difference in my back pain. I thought it was mostly IC related but the therapy took a lot away.
My PTs researched IC and discovered that when your bladder is hurting, we IC patients tend to tilt our pelvis back to relieve pressure on the bladder. But this causes you to slump over and further injures your lower back because it curves outward and puts strain on the disks. Try to concentrate on keeping your back curved properly and sit as straight as you can. Try not to curl up in ball when you hurt...it also curves the back outward and can cause further injury. Instead lie on your back and bend knees. It doesn't feel as good as curling up, but it helps you keep your back straight. Don't sit for long periods, get up and walk around often. Hope that helps until you can see a PT and they can teach you the back strengthening exercises. I am not an expert so I wouldn't want to try to explain them to you in words. They really need to show you so you can be safe.
Good luck!!! Please PM or e-mail me any time. I KNOW your pain!!!
HUGS!!
