I saw a natropath today for a sinus infection - great btw. He offered doing a blood test for food allergies. He says lots of people have hidden food allergies. And if eliminated from your diet can decrease the total inflammation in your body and would help with IC. He didn't offer a cure. He offerred an idea.
Has anyone tried this?

Yes, I began a vegan anti-inflammatory elimination diet as a last ditch effort to resolve chronic muscle pain and inflammation about 2 months ago. In three weeks on the diet, my pain was 80% resolved. Guess what, my sinuses have cleared up, too, which I've read is pretty common--as many maybe most cases of chronic sinusitis are due to inflammation rather than infection. I think you're naturopath is on the right track! I encourage you too look into such a diet, you never know, it may help your IC, too, as it is an inflammatory condition.
You may have sensitivities that do not show up on an allergy test. I've never undergone one. But you could still get results with an anti-inflammatory elimination diet.

What type of blood testing is he doing? I know of many IC patients who have been helped by traditional food allergy testing. :-)
