DPL "Red Light Therapy"

Didn't know where else to post this...has anyone ever heard of or tried "deep penetrating light" LED infrared light therapy? I've seen that its supposed to work for nerve pain as well as muscle and joint pain and is recommended for those with fibro? Has anyone tried it for IC (or back pain?) Added bonus: supposedly also worked wonders on skin and wrinkles?!

I think my grandmother ordered one of those devices from TV.* (Is that possible?) I tried it on my lower abdomen, bladder area. No change. My grandmother said it did help her sore muscles, though, so she was happy with it.

*She LOVED to order things from TV!
