View Full Version : Popcorn and Pretzels???

I'm probably going to be posting a lot of messeges lately while trying to get used to this diet. It's hard, there is nothing to eat at my house! My Mom is getting frustrated and mad at me, cuz she doesn't know what to feed me. I just wanted to know if these foods are ok or not? I'm not talking about the nasty buttery theater popcorn, I mean either homemade with light butter or salt, or light butter microwave. And then just hard pretzels you buy in a bag at store. Thanks for the replies!
I get an organic microwaveable popcorn from the health food store and add my own butter & salt. I haven't tried any of the regular popcorns. I've not had any problems from pretzels, either.
I have noticed though if I overdo salt, I have more frequency, so go light on it til you know for yourself...
I think "normal" people have that experience too.

I've not had any problems with either. I don't eat popcorn too often, but I do eat more than my share of pretzels! I like how they're fat-free and relatively low calorie (as compared to potato chips & many other snacks).
One thing I've noticed here though is we're not all the same when it comes to what food causes problems. My suggestion would be to start anything new in small amounts just in case it's going to be a problem for you.

I can eat both pretzels and microwave popcorn. Some ICers have a problem with popcorn so I suggest you try just a little until you're sure.

I can eat Popcorn, Pretzels and Potato Chips. I'd love to try my favourite Cheetos but haven't worked up the courage.Sue
