Thanksgiving's not the same this year,

I've got IC, it's kind of queer,

So giving thanks for different things,

Like heating pads,

And soothing teas,

Thankful for the lads and lasses

Who clued me in on bathroom passes,

Sharing tips on IC belly,

For now pass up cranberry jelly,

No, I won't have that glass of wine,

And pray *a cure they soon will find,

Blessings still come thru the tears,

Thanksgiving for the healthy years!

Ginger, this has been one difficult and challenging ride! Have faith that my body can return to the functioning one that held IC at bay for all these years. Read here and on Facebook each day to support those of us who struggle with the every day all encompassing issues accompanying this condition. That's a lot on our Thanksgiving table. Dealing with the physical exhaustion pain brings. Trying to rest and eek out a life just the same!
