Ic???

I was just told a couple days ago that I might have IC. I am being treated for a UTI but there was no bacteria found. I always have an urge to pee, but there isn't any burning when I pee or any other pelvic pain. Could this be IC?

You will find that everyone's symptoms vary. I have no bladder pain, and no frequency, but have urethral soreness and tenderness (especially after urinating). It's baffling how people vary in their symptoms. Celebrex( anti-inflammatory) is the one medicine that has helped control my urethral pain. I also take Atarax and Klonopin. Meds and treatments also vary from one person to another. Following the IC Diet has also helped me a lot. I hope you find the information you need on the Ic network. It has helped me tremendously!

Very true. Plus your symptoms can change. Mine did over the past six months. I never had pelvic pain, but always had burning. I used to have burning when urinating and frequency but now I don't though I have a constant burning which worsens just after urinating.

There could always be other reasons for freguency, and there are a lot of tests that can be done to diagnose the problem.

Yes, it's possible that what you have is IC, but it could also be something else. Your best option is to work with your doctor to make a diagnosis.

Yes it could be poss. you have IC but they should do other test to rule other things out.
