This one's for all of my fellow pudendal neuralgia sufferers out there: What do you do to avoid sitting?

I don't just mean stand whenever possible, because that's obvious. I'm talking about the times you have to sit, to rest. What do you do?

I use a coccyx cushion with a cutout at the back to keep from sitting on my damaged nerve, but the cushion really only works well on certain surfaces. It's of pretty much no use at all on any soft surfaces (padded car seats, couches, movie theater seats, etc.).

If I have to sit--and let's face it, I have to sit sometimes--I tend to do it by curling my legs underneath me and holding my body at an angle so my butt's never flat down on whatever I'm sitting on. I've even resorted at times to sitting with one hand balled into a fist beneath a butt cheek, to also hold my body at an angle and prevent my butt from pressing flush against the surface I'm on. I can also lie down on the couch or bed on my side, though this isn't particularly comfortable for me.

Does anyone else have any sitting techniques? And what are the adverse effects of those techniques? (For me, sitting on my fists exacerbated my carpal tunnel syndrome, and I'm pretty sure sitting with my legs beneath me and holding my body at an angle does weird crap to my hips and adds to my symptoms and struggles in general.)
