Sorry to post this here but some of you have said you were diabetic and I have a question. ive been trying to get through to my PCP's office for a week now but can't even speak to a nurse! My question: I used to be borderline hyglycemic (not officially diagnosed tho) and my sugar would drop to the low 40s. I have a testing machine and have been keeping an eye on it lately and every moring when i first awake, when it should be the lowest, its running around 160-170. I'm beginning to think I may be diabetic as well as everything else going on. It runs on both sides of my family and my mom has a terrible time with hers. Do signs of low-sugar/high-sugar make you feel bad too? With the newely diagnosed FM, I wasnt sure if that was why I feel so drained or if something more is at work. Going to try again all day today to get through to doc's office but will probably get response here before that happpens.

Thanks everyone in advance for your response :-)

Morgan,
Do you feel thirsty all the time? Dizziness is also another one.
Those numbers are too high. It is time to lite a fire under someone who answers those phones at your pcp's office. That can be dangerous.
Hope you get it worked out soon.:hi:

Jaime,

Yes, I am forever thirsty... even sitting in an air-conditined room, it seems like I can't drink enough. I have been running a low-grade fever (99.0 - 99.5) most of the time too but thought that was from the FM. I dont think I get dizzy all that often tho.. will pay more attention to it tho.

The nurse FINALLY called me back just a few minutes ago and agreed, yes, that high and yes, we need to see you but can't do it till Monday.. yet, this clinic accepts walk-ins! Thinking of just "walking in" tomorrow and see what happens.

Just took blood sugar count again and it ws 108 before eating and 97 after eating 2 small mini-cheeburgers. It's like it goes down the more I eat... doesnt make sense to me. Anyways.. thanks a bunch for your response :-) Will keep ya posted.
