View Full Version : Halloween Costume ideas?
Hi all,
I've just returned to elementary teaching after 9 years teaching high school. Halloween is a big deal at my school with afternoon parade & everything.
Any suggestions (not too expensive or risqué, please)???
Default costume is to go as a teacher, but I'd like to have a little fun too!

Hi, Kadi ~ I know my grandson's Kindergarten teacher always dresses up like something from what their studying....once a farmer, etc. The farmer was so cute....jeans, checkered shirt, straw hat, freckles, etc.
Have fun once again now that your back to elementary. The kids love it when the teachers dress up!!!

How about dressing like Dorothy in Wizard of Oz --- pigtails, red shoes, and carry a stuffed doggie in a basket?

My daughter had a teacher who went as a bunch of grapes one year. She wore purple sweats/sweatshirt and attached purple balloons. It was really cute and had to have been pretty inexpensive.
You just got me going on a trip down memory lane. Halloween was so much fun when the kids were little :)

I like the Dorothy idea! Or you could go as a dalmation.......white sweatpants, white hoodie, use black duct tape for the spots so they come right off. Easy to sew on ears, makeup for the rest of your face!

If I need a costume, I do the dalmation thing --- I even have a dalmation hat from the dollar store that has a nose and ears. I also have a tail that I made years ago that can be fastened to a belt.
