My appointment on friday did not go as well as I had hoped. I was doubled over and in tears. I have spent much of the weekend hibernating and trying to get rest. My new uro said she has had a large amount of calls from IC patients and she has been extremely busy trying to fit them all in. Shes a angel:angel:
she said she never says no. Anyway we did my another install and oh my pain was severe this time. She sent by urine to be cultured and said there still is a large amount of blood in urine. She tried to get in touch with the head kidney specialist but hes out of the country :( She is going to talk to him next week before my friday appointment and see what he thinks about my case. She also said she was going to call I believe a university in California or something to discuss options for me she said they do more invasive studies with IC.She also said more than likely next week we will do straight lidocaine installs w/o heparin.I am trying to keep very positive. I am resting and not on computer as much. She also doubled most of my meds (yuck) making me very drowsy and not so upbeat but if it helps I am willing to do just about anything. Everyone else is my house is sick with virus and strep so I am trying to stay clear of that.

It sounds like you have found a caring physician who is willing to work to help you. Hopefully your meds will keep your pain level down until you see her again.

Sending warm hugs,
Donna

Dear Kelly, I know what you mean, I also have large amounts of blood in my urine, my uroloigst sent me to a kidney dr. He had two ideas of what i may be, one lupus or two this big word that mean you are bleeding for no reason and there is no cure and it runs in families. I hope you find out what is going on, please keep us informed. I will be praying for you. good luck my friend.

Love,

Thanks everyone:grouphug: :grouphug: ,
I am still on the mend but feeling a little better. The double dose meds took a big toll on me. I am adjusting slowly but surely. My allergies kick into high gear and my bladder decided to go bonkers:dizzy: . I will let you know what I find out Friday. My primary is going to look @ possible lupus and degerate disc disease(in back) although most of my back pain is from my kidney she wants to make sure. I am keeping you all in my prayers .
