When I was first diagnosed . my bladder was nothing but a wall
of blood. So they some treatment that burned the lining of my
bladder. It was horrible horrible!!! The pain was nothing but torture. My husband tried to keep my IC diet going .
But the cost of the certain types of food starting getting exspensive.
There are certain foods that I can come across and Just the thought of how it makes me hurt takes the craving away.
I was told that I needed to quit smoking .
SMOKING supposely makes your IC worse.
Next month will be one yr of no smoking. and all I belived that I
gained from it is 50pounds.
MY IC is out of control right now and I just dont know where to
start or how?
I live with this pain and disconfort that I make food my confort zone.
Im just waiting to get excepted with SSID I can get some type of pain management and someone to help me with a diet.

thank all of you for being. Just knowing that you know exactly how I feel helps my mind from going crazy.

Congratulations on being smoke free for a full year! I know it wasn't easy.

You'll find diet information at http://www.ic-network.com/handbook/ The handbook contains lots of helpful information about diet. And some of the most inexpensive foods, such as rice and chicken are IC safe.

Sending warm encouraging hugs,
Donna

Hi there! :hi:
My bills have actually gone down overall since I now eat less junk foods and don't eat in restaurants as much as before...

That's a great link Donna gave you. It's been a lifesaver for me. After a couple of weeks on the diet, my pain level was dramatically reduced-- It's definitely worth giving it a try! Check out this link for recipes!

Hope you are feeling better soon!

I too can relate...I'm a stress eater too. Only diagnosed a little over a week ago, I am missing my iced tea, but it's better than the intense pain. Good Luck.....you're in my thoughts.
