Can any one recommend a good acidophilus/bifidus supplement that is IC friendly and also dairy, soy and wheat/gluten free? I realized today the one I was taking has ascorbic acid in it!

I use Acidophilus Pears. I buy them in the health food store. They are made by Enzymatic Therapy Inc., Green Bay, WI. They contain no sugar, salt, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn artificial colorings/flavorings or preservatives. They are enteric coated and through clinical testing show that they deliver 900% more microflora than any other capsules. They must be refrigerated and are quite expensive, but are worth it for me.
I had a very bad experience with acidophilus. I looked it up on the internet and sure enough it produces lactic acid! It really bothered me.

i think the best probiotic on the market is "Primal Defense" by garden of life. they are well worth the money, and can usually be found on the internet for much less than your standard health food store.

After reading your post the other day, I thought to look at my Acidophilus when I took it the other day. It doesn't have any acids in it! I don't know if you can get it in your area, but the brand I get is called "GNC." Hope you find something that works!
