Fun weekend

Husband Terry and I took our spinning wheels to our county fair and spent time there on Friday and again on Sunday in the sheep barn spinning yarn. It was soooo much fun --- little children are so fascinated when they can see the live sheep, the shorn fleece, then see it spun into yarn. We also took some scarves and hats made from the yarn.

I gave one little boy a little fluff of well-washed fleece and his smile was the high point of my weekend.

Next week we go to the Oregon State fair in Salem --- I can't wait.

That is so excellent! I've always loved watching spinning-taking a raw product and creating from it. Also wonderful that you feel well enough to participate and travel.

It sounds like you've been involved in spinning for a while. How did you get started?

My husband started building spinning wheels several years ago --- so I felt I needed to learn --- and I love it. :)
