Today's the day

alrighty everyone, I have a bout 1 hour to say yes or no. Just getting ready to head out the door to my clinic to have the sacral nerve stimulation done. I've only had one good sized anxiety attack, but I did what my psych told me and slowly talked my self down and into my safe "cave" underwater...(where, magically I can breathe:) ) I have a plasma TV, Bose steroe system and tons and tons of literature, with a comfy couch/day bed, soft blankets to curlup with.

thanks Catrina...It didn't go well, unfortunately...I spent 2 1/2 hours with the medtronics rep and doc, but my abdominal nerves for pain and motor response are intertwined (like a big ol' spider web) so any stimulation one gets, the other gets. that is, they got it work in the lower back, groin....(wow..that clirtoral stim bout sent me through the roof), but when they tried on the abdominal area, everytime it sent me into a total body spasm. (like arching from head to foot)

I am now sitting on an ice pack. Really sucks, they went in through my tailbone so I am very sore there. That was definately the worst of the stupid procedure (besides faiilure) was the injection of local into my tailbone. OWWWWWWW...they had me better sedated this time, and I had a good time joking about my butt being exposed to the world. (The nurse patted me on the cheek and told me I had a cute butt....after lots of kidding)

Anyway, don't know what to do now. My doc gave me yet another drug to add to my marvelous collection of sedating pills..."sigh" really sucks.

I'm so sorry.:( I know how hard it is to feel like you've found the answer and then to be disappointed. That's the hardest thing about this dang disease. Then it seems as if once you do find something that works it doesn't always last. I'll keep you in my prayers.
