My doctor just told me I can eat any of the "creamy" dressings - blue cheese, ranch, etc. (not creamy italian). This seems too easy!?! I haven't seen anyone mention Ranch Dressing as a safe alternative to regular dressings. Do you eat Ranch Dressing without any problems??
I'm fine with Marie's Lite Creamy Ranch dressing or Marie's Creamy Ranch dressing. They are available in the refrigerator section of the produce department at many grocery stores. These are ok for me because they do not have preservatives like most. I'm only ok with the Ranch ones though. I tried the poppyseed one & had a flare. One trick that really works is to put the Ranch dressing on the side of the salad and to dip your fork in it before bites of salad. That way I get the flavor without eating so much of the dressing. I do this at restaurants & also take Prelief (a calcium supplement that reduces acid) with the dressing.

I'm also ok with ranch dressing which is kind of odd since there is mayo and vinegar in the ingredients in the ones that are already made. When I make my own at home I leave out the mayo and just use buttermilk with the packaged mix. I can also eat thousand island dressing when I go to dinner if I don't over do it which is also odd due to the ingredients but hey I don't want to question it when I find something that agrees with my bladder!

I too can eat ranch dressing. I don't drench my salad in it but I put a decent amount on it.

Puree tub of cottage cheese and add dry Hidden Valley Ranch if it's IC friendly.

here's a link to a vegan ranch dressing that sounds really good. just leave out the lemon and pepper if you are sensitive to those things!

I would add some fresh or dried dill to make it taste more like the real thing.

I do just fine with ranch dressings as well. I just do the popular namebrand but the Marie's dressing is fabulous too!

I make my own "Ranch" with my IBS I really have to stay away from cream. I use goat yogurt (I seem to do well with goat products) and then I add a packet of organic ranch seasonings. Works really well, and even my bf is into it. :)

I find that for me I am fine with anything that is a creamy dressing. I eat ranch, ceasar. three cheese ranch, blue cheese. I have no idea why I can get away with eating these but I can't eat an apple of any kind even the safe ones. I have not idea what's up with that.
If you are going to try it I would only try a small amount and see how you do.
