I have had IC for 6 years and I have a great doctor but I am just not getting any pain relief at all and it is really getting to be to much. I'm so car sensitive that just the normal grocery shopping is all I can handle--and sometimes more than I can handle. So I decided to find another doctor that maybe knows of different ways to help me. I found out that KU Medical Center has doctors that deal with only IC patients. It's really hard to get in, but I'm going to go and talk with one of the doctors in June. I'm really praying that they will be able to help me. Are there any others here that live in the MO/KS area that have really good IC doctors? I would really like to find the best one for me.

Hello. It's nice to meet you. I live in the KC area also. I have hopped around urologists for years, but finally went to KU a few weeks ago. I strongly recommend seeing Dr. Griebling there. He is wonderful! He is very educated on IC & very compassionate. The entire staff there was awesome. I am very thankful that I went there. You can email me at creatingkarma@comcast.net if you want to talk with me further.

I have been treated by Dr. Conrad Duncan at KU for a little over a year. He is the doc that finally gave me a name for my disease and listened to me and didn't tell me that it was in my head. He is in the reproductive clinic. Tell him that c-square sent you.

Thank you for the responses. I am going to KU on Wednseday and I'm really looking forward to having a new doctor with a fresh view. I'm feeling good that he will be able to find something that will help me.
