i'm supposed to take my pills 3 times a day at least an hour separate from food or other meds. well, my synthroid is supposed to be done first thing in the am at least an hour separate from food or other meds too. i keep forgetting to take all my elmiron doses.

is it okay to take 2 at once? my routine isn't jiving yet. so once it starts to work out, i'll get into the habit of the 3 pills a day. but each night, i see that last pill in the slot for that day. i'm afraid to try 2 at once, but if it's okay to do until i get my routine down, i'll do it.

anyone have any expert advice? next uro appt is next week.

Yes, I think it's fine to take 2 at a time.I take 2 2x a day.So a total of 4.I take 2 with all my other pills,then 2 just throughout the day as I remember.Together or separate.I really think it's fine.This is how my doctor said to take them.I also take synthroid,among many others.Hope this helps!! I also take 2 elmiron (100mg tabs) 2x/day. This is how they were perscribed. In the morning I take them with prevacid, then wait an hour to eat. At night I take them before I go to bed, with the rest of my pills. I generally wait a good 1/2 hour before I lay down. :)

I take synthroid first thing in the morning with Elmiron. I didn't know you couldn't take them together!! My doc never said anything about it, and supposedly Elmiron doesn't interact with other medicines. anyone know if this is correct?

my dosage now is 200 mg 3 times a day.....

when i used to take elimron i was on four a day and i took mine with food i couldnt take it without or i would get sick my doctor is the one who said this would be okay.
I would take two in the morning with food and two at night with dinner.

to make sure I would still call my doctor office to make sure they feel its safe.

that is what i did and they said it was fine but diff doctor do diff things.
