View Full Version : Dang It -- WHY do I always start to hurt at 2:30 every afternoon lately???

*grumble*

I don't get it. Every single day this week I have started hurting at 2:30 pm, almost on the dot. It is very annoying, especially on days like today where I felt great all morning.

Today I brought my own IC-friendly lunch from home, thinking maybe the cafeteria here at work was secretly using some spice or something on their supposedly plain chicken/turkey/beef. But still, 2:30 rolls around and my bladder starts complaining again. It's always preceded by having to pee often, and then the pain starts.

*grumble*

Maybe this should have been on the "Venting" board...

:grouphug: :grouphug: ,
I wish I could do or say something that would help you. Did you give your doctor a call ? If its a new symptom I would call just to make sure its not something else. I hope your feeling better soon,
Kelly

:hmm:

I also have to wonder if it might have something to do with lunch --- what do you drink with your lunch? If it's tap water, you might try drinking only bottled spring water with lunch --- or if you're drinking a lot with your lunch, maybe try drinking just a little, then drinking more later. I hope you can find an answer soon --- I know it's frustrating.

Warm hugs,
Donna

I drink bottled water with lunch... however, I think you have a good point, Donna. Usually I've been running around all morning, so I am really thirsty at lunch and end up drinking almost the entire bottle of water all at once! Maybe that's it -- maybe it's a combination of letting my urine get concentrated in the morning and then drinking too much water at once to make up for it.

I am going to try drinking half a bottle mid-morning, and the other half with lunch tomorrow to see if it is a volume effect. If not, I am going to try a different brand of water and see if maybe that is it...

Hi Jen, I know how frustrating it must be, especially feeling so good for a while and then back to the pain cycle again, can make anyone grumpy. Donna has some good ideas in her post. Keep us posted as to how things are going and hope they improve for you, hugs Iris.:hi: :flower:
