this is the way i can tell if i have a true infection and i'm normally right for myself.
cloudy urine, smelly urine, painful peeing, a pain in my right side will also tell me i have a true infection.
but these are the signs i go by for myself..
hope your feeling better soon sending you hugs and prayers

The pain immediately after peeing tells me it is probably an infection.

I know what you mean now, but i get abit flustered because i tend to feel "iffy" unwell as if i have a temp ( but dont) i think this is the thing i am confusing in my mind between Infec/IC.
I do have smelly urine quite often,
I just need to "Listen" to my body now and differenciate between infec/IC little things like last thing at night feeling almost "lightheaded and bloaty" is that IC?? Lol the more i try to sort it the worse it seems Ha!!

One thing with my ic is that i always have a low grade temp. which at first worried me until i told my doctor i always seem to have a low temp and he said that is common in some IC pat.:( if the light headest and bloating is a new systom you need to tell your doctor but i seem to feel that way right before my mthly hits me.
another thing we have notice is a week before my peroid I will get a true infection. so my doctor gave me some anti to take right before my mthly hits.
I don't think all icers are this way but this is the way i am.
If your urine is smelly you need to get it checked to be on the safe side.
sending you hugs and prayers

Sometimes the only way I can tell is to have my urine tested.
