umm I kinda smell fishy after eating fish

I don't think this is Really from IC, but every time I eat fish or crab, my umm vagina will smell really fishy for a few day's crab is the worst it can make it smelly fishy for like a week, other fish it usually only makes it smell for the rest of that day and sometimes the next day depends on how much I eat and what kind of fish like salmon makes it smell longer then halibut would.

Does this happen to anyone? Is it normal? What's wrong with me? I was going to ask some friends if it ever happens to them but it was just too embarrassing to ask.

I'm going in for a pap soon and I'll ask the doctor about it but does anyone know what might be causing this and some things to ask my doctor or if it is normal and I don't need to say anything.

When ever I eat sardines my urine come out smelling like it right after eatting it -weird. It was that way too before IC kicked in. Some fish has mecury in it. My grandfather told me that when I was a child. He use to tell me be careful about eatting fish because some contain mercury which is true. The best kind of fish to eat is fresh wild salmon and trout. By the way, It's important you should go to the doctor. it could be a yeast infection. Yeast can give you that fishy smell too..

one thing i want to eat and still can't is fish but when i go ahead and try it anyway when i pee i do smell like fish and i never eat alot due to the fact of the pain i know it will cause.
but after a day the smell goes away.

Sorry, to hear that, my sister has the same problem she has seen several gynos. does not have IC and they cannot tell her what it is exactly ??
When I had a cervical biopsy, my husband would not get near me for days cause he said I smelled like a cat box, all that necrotic tissue in there was makin' a stink!! There it is fair, one embarresing thing for you one embarressing thing about me!!
He is laughing at me now telling me he "should have gone to the store to get me a Glade stick up". LOL!! Funny when your on the other side of the problem.
I'll show him stick up!!
