Anyone had Elmiron Instillments?

Hi everyone. I go Wednesday for Urodynamics Testing and my first Elmiron Instillment. I am very scared/nervous/anxious about the whole thing. Eventually the plan is that if the Elmiron instillments work then I'll learn to do them at home. My uro said the Elmiron instillments can be done as often as needed - so that's positive, I guess.

DO INSTILLMENTS HURT?

HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THE ELMIRON INSTILLMENTS?

Hi.

I had 16 of them over 4 weeks. They didn't really help me so I just switched to heparin and feel a little better after 3 of them. It doesn't mean it won't work for you and it didn't hurt much because they use lidocane. Good luck.

The catheter is the only thing that is uncomfortable but that is over so quick. The Elmiron inside my bladder did not hurt at all. It also did not hurt to pee it out.
