I just want to tell you that this is by far the best relief I get.
I did over 30 bladder instillations, and numerous other medications. Many of which failed and did not work. I went to a specialist in Vancouver, British Columbia and he put me on these suppositories and I must say they do a great job for me on somedays. Other days not so much. But I thought I would share this with you... if you are looking for something that might work. 'Maybe this would help you.

Meds Taking Currently
3 - 4x 100mg of Elimon a day
3x 200mg of Pyridium a day
2x 25mg of Elavil at Bedtime
2 suppositories for pain a day
Ativan when needed

These are usually called B & O suppositories. I've just had them in the hospital --- we called them "magic bullets." :)

I just asked my uro about the B & 0 suppositories and she said they were great but they weren't available anymore in the states. Anyone have any info on this?

I know there is a shortage of them right now, not sure why though. I have some and I am holding on to them for emergencies.

Thanks. I'll check with my pharmacy to see if the ingredients are still available to be compounded. Sounds like they would be helpful in an emergency flare.

So I put in my prescription 2 days ago for these. They said the prescription would be ready for today. I phoned in to see if it was ready and the suppositories are back ordered until May 27th... possibly longer. I started crying on the phone to the pharmacist... I have to go away this weekend and play music at a retreat for the weekend... I'm not sure if I will make it there without them.

The pharmacist called all the major towns close to us and none of the pharmacies have the suppositories... I hope to be luckier in the city I am going to this weekend... but I have my doubts considering in Vancouver - only one pharmacy carries these. But I will try to be hopeful!

I am sure God will take care of it!

Hopefully, everyone else will be able to get the help they need.

Blessings to you,
Wizbe

Just wanted to say that I found these suppositories at my local CVS of all places. I spent half the day hunting these down, calling all of the special compounding pharmacies first, even Johns Hopkins hospital couldn't order them. Some pharmacist told me they were no longer being made. Not true, I called Paddock Labs to confirm. So if anyone is looking, try CVS.

Thanks for the information. I'll pass the info on to my doctor who had patients who needed them but couldn't find them anymore.
