that's how long i was able to wait thursday! i've been working on the bladder retraining stuff (you know, sit, stay, fetch, etc.), and thursday i was able to make it 3 hours without urgency! i teach junior high, so i forced myself to get through 3 class periods. of course, when the bell rang to end the 3rd hour, i was running out the door faster than the kids. ;)
i'm really happy though. maybe i'll be able to cut down my nighttime trips to 2 instead of 3 or 4.
didn't know where else to post this. but it's something i'm grateful for.

Glad you were able to hold it for that long
I am always afraid if I hold it longer it will cause me more pain . My doctor told me yesterday we can work on frequency after we get my pain controlled. I cant wait this every half hour thing gets annoying for me. Best wishes and hope it helps you with the nightime trips.:)

WOW! That is so great. Thanks for sharing.
And --- Kelly, you are wise in waiting until your pain level is down before trying bladder retraining. I have read that it is not a good idea to try if you are in pain.
Sending gentle hugs,
Donna

kelly, donna is right about the pain. when i'm flaring, i can't do the waiting at all. it just makes me cry. but i'm taking urelle more often now for bladder pain, and it's helping a lot. i don't take it as often as i should. maybe twice a day instead of 4 times. but even that dose is really helping.

I know what you mean the last uro told me try holding it longer and yikes:yikes: it was painful. I have a new doc that seems to be wonderful and very educated about IC. I am so glad you found something that works for you. I have never heard of urelle ? I will look it up but glad it works for you. Take care and best wishes,
Kelly
