If she's in the Kaiser system, I recommend any of the urologists at the Santa Rosa Kaiser Hospital. They are awesome!!!

Anyone know a good urologist or ic doctor in the Chico or Sacramento (or Redding) area? There is one in Chico and it is nearly impossible to get an appt. with him.

Hi, I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in on this subject....
Dr. Christopher Payne @ Standford was wonderful to me and I will be seeing him again as soon as I recover from my recent surgery. He is caring, understanding and will take action. No more pissy, farting around with Doctors that that won't listen, don't care or just think I'm crazy. ICN and my PA helped me decided on Dr. Payne and I have no regrets.

Thanks! Stanford is a fair drive, but it might be worth it. Any input is good!

I take the train the day before , spend the night at a girlfriends, she takes me to the appointment and I come home on the train the next morning. My mini vacation...I love the bay area, it is cooler in in the summer, most days anyway. And it gives girlfriend and I time to catch up.

I see Dr. Rita Melkonian, a urogynecologist with offices in San Francisco and Larkspur (about 10 minutes north of SF). I've only seen her once so far but I liked her very much. Here's her info:

Another vote for Dr. Payne at Stanford. I've been going to him for 6 years. He is the best and his staff are very helpful & friendly. Honestly, I've never had 1 complaint about them. He is often involved w/ the most recent IC studies and very knowledgable. He's very caring and supportive.

Hi,
I'm seeing Dr. Kenneth Roth, in Pleasanton. I believe he has a 2nd office but I'm not sure where it is. I've only been seeing him for about a month now, but he is kind, caring, and seems very competent. I have multiple health problems and have seen quite a lot of doctors in the last 20 years, both good and bad - I'd say he was a very good one, at least in my opinion.
Pleasanton is a little closer to you than some of the options listed thus far, although it still would be quite a drive. Again, his other office may be closer, but I"m not sure where it is offhand.
Take care,
ErinBear
