Elmiron

On my last message I was conserned my URO was going to ween me off the Elmiron, but as it turned out he mis read something about Elmiron and thought I should only take it for 3 months, but instead it said the person taking Elmiron should be rechecked after being on it for 3 months. I was so releived because I've been on it now for 4 years and it really seems to help. has anyone out there been taking it longer than 4 years without any problems? I'am going to have some blood work done to check my liver something or other. I have never had this done and I understand it should be done yearly, does anyone know why?

I have a liver panel done yearly b/c I take Elmiron. It has been almost 3 years for me. I think some drugs are processed through the liver and can be taxing on it. I have never had a problem, but I know the potential is there for some people.
