Is anyone familiar with the OXYTROL Patch? My doctor wants me to try it....today. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried it and if there are any side effects? Thanks. :grouphug:

I tried it, and didn't notice any side effects from the medicine itself... however, I am allergic to adhesives, and developed a rash from the patch itself, so I had to quit using it. BOOOOOO!!!!!
:)
I used it for 2 weeks. Within 2 hours I felt like a new person. I didn't have any allergies. The only problem was that I am really small (100 lbs) and I think the dosage was too high. At the end of the second week I could barely pee-it had stopped the bladder contractions to the point where I couldn't get the pee out. I'm taking a break now and feel a flare again but plan to either cut it in half or change it once a week instead of twice so the dosage doesn't build up to the level that bothered me. Try it!

Thanks for your reply. :grouphug:
You could not go, does that mean it caused retention? My dosage is 3.9 mg/day. I'm small too (107) and cannot tolorate a lot of medicines. What was your dosage? Thanks
It only comes in one dosage.
I really think if you have trouble you can just keep the same patch on all week instead of changing it twice a week. My doctor suggested we try that next week. I am just taking this week off. The results at first were amazing! There is a place for this in my therapy, I just have to figure it out. Once I took the patch off, I was able to pee normally later that day so I was right in figuring it out.
