I am so bummed. I quit taking vesicare to go back on the oxytrol patch as it doesn't really have any side effects. I had used it for maybe 2 or 3 weeks before. This morning after my shower I noticed I have little red bumps all over my legs so I didn't put a new patch on, its probably a reaction to the adhesive. This is so frustrating, I hate having the spasms which vesicare will fix but the meds are so drying and I'm finding even the nortriptyline is giving me dry mouth.
My only hope is that the nori will provide enough anticholinergenic effects by itself so that I don't get the spasms back. I have read it relaxes the bladder muscle also.
I've only taken the nori for a couple of days and am feeling kinda spacey and tired though am having a hard time sleeping through the night. Its possible it could be the nori but I think I was noticing the bumpy skin last week and just thought it was dry skin and didn't look very closely. That was before I started the nori.

Have you checked with your doctor? I have some pretty bad problems with adhesives, but the rash is confined to under the adhesive and maybe an inch around it.

I am using the patch.. and when I take it off it leaves a red area the exact size of the patch and it stays for a day or so and then disappears. Sorry that you are having a reaction to it.. because it is less side affects then the pills.

Well now you guys got me thinking. It would make sense for me to have a reaction at the site. When I take off the patch it is pink but the insert says that is "normal", there are no blisters or anything and it doesn't itch. Other adhesive allergies I've had they've been right where it was put (certain types of bandaids). The insert and their website indicate the same thing, it would start at the place its put on. I took oral oxybutynin for a couple of years so I don't think its the medicine itself.
It occurred to me I did get a new pair of pj bottoms this week and wore them for a few nights without washing them first. I wonder if its a reaction to something on the material, it does seem to start right about my hip area. Not hive hives but bumpy slightly pink little bumps. I thought it was dry skin at first.
I feel better now. Can probably put that patch back on, I'll wait a few days and try again.
Thanks
