Hi gals I'm in need of some help. I'm experiencing some very aweful wierd pains. My upper back there's a spot that if you touch it feels like a shard of glass is cutting me. The feeling is also in my hand between my pointer finger and my thumb. All of my joints hurt off and on and it drives me crazy! I'm cramping like crazy and my eyes are swollen from crying. I am afraid to have someone touch it because it is so painful. I took a vicodin and it's not helping. I must admit that I'm a little scard. I know I have IC but I fear that something else is wrong as well. I have really bad doctors but I am going to see Toby Chai at Baltimore University. Is this an IC related thing? Do any of you feel this way as well? I've got 3 kids and I can't take feeling like this. I have a perscription for vicidin that I got 2 months ago. He only gave me ten. I try and use them very sparingly because he makes me feel bad about it. My hubby is awesome but I feel like I am putting so much stress on him. And I can't do much right now. It hurts so bad. If you have any idea what may be causing these things or if you have the same symptoms could you please tell me what you think? I'm tired and I can't think straight anymore. I don't have a doctor that's willing to help me through this. My had hurts so bad. Off and on I also have shooting pains that seem to go into my kidneys, I'm burning .... everything is flaring at once. My mothly will come up soon and that always sends me into my own private hell. But these other symptoms haven't been here forever. Over the past year my joints have been hurting once in awhile things will go numb even when I'm using my foot! I have headaches a lot and jaw pains when I open it up at the dentist. It's like searing pains that shoot inot it. She said it's called TMJ. ANyways do you all have any info? I'd be so grateful. So when I go to the doctor in a month!!! I'll have some suggestions to tell him. DO you think it's good to wait until I want to go to the hospital before I take a pill?c LIke when should you take a pain pill? I can't stand the constant pain anymore. Help please? - Chris

some of your pain can be uti and a kidney infection but the others i'm not sure of i think you should have your husband take you to the er to make sure what this pain is coming from and get some pain control i do understand you dont want anyone to touch it because it so painful but a doctor really needs to look at this so your pain can get under control.
any new pain needs to be treated by a doctor and this does sound like this is a er case. please go!!
when you are up to it please also let us know how you are.
i understand you have children maybe you can get someone to watch them if nothing else call the ems out to take you to the er and have your husband to come pick you up when they are finish treating you.
sending you hugs and prayers

Rhonda is right....I do think that some of us when we flare bad hurt all over pecause of nerve pain problems....but it is impossible to be sure what you reason is without a doctor to look.

I am saying a prayer for you and hoping you get the relief you need and deserve.

It's my honest opinion that any new pain needs to be checked out. When you have something like IC, it's easy to blame every pain on that, but it's not always the IC that's the cause.

If you can't reach your doctor, I agree that a trip to ER is a good option for you.

You asked about pain medications --- it's pretty well accepted that it takes less pain medication to get pain under control if it's taken as soon as the pain hits, before it gets really bad. Once the pain gets ahead of you, it can take lots of paim meds to get it back under control.

Sending warm healing thoughts,
Donna
