Well the good 'ol IBS, IC and migraines are in full force...So what better day than to take a trip to the pediatricians office!!??
Zane told me his pee pee hurts. I didn't know if a two year old actually "knows" if something's hurt and when to say it.......but obviously he did.
I called in to the ped. this morning and got an appt. at 1pm...Well the doctor had been watching his private since birth...Obviously the doctor who performed the circumcision was intoxicated (surely not, just my thoughts..) because it was done improperly..A piece of skin was left on. Now that he's getting older and it's growing, the doctor said the skin there was too thick and would have to be corrected.

So I've been referred to a pediatric uro at Children's Hospital. I think my poor kid is going to have to go under the knife!! That just freaks me out! I had this done when he was born so he wouldn't have to go through it later in life..I know as if two is later in life...I'm just a basket case........and normally I hold up so well.

So if a two year old says something is hurting.....then it is.:(

Jamie-sorry to hear about Zane. Did the Dr. that performed the circumcision know that he left some extra skin when he did that? If so, he should fix the problem for free (although we know he won't.) Riley tells me that he has boo-boo's all the time, but mostly it's from various things-like dropping a book on his foot or something like that. I have the option of taking him to get another hearing test done that requires general anesthisia, but opted not to do it. I hope you can get that cute lil guy fixed up. Let me know how the specialist appointment goes!

One of my sons had some urological surgery done at age 4 --- it caused some pain with urination, but I have to say that the urologist handled him so well that he accepted the pain and told me that it would only hurt for a minute.

He recovered well and has no emotional problems from it --- and he's an adult now.

Hi, I know the feeling, my son was a little older than yours, he was 5 years old and had an undescended testicle that had to be brought down, I felt for him so much, but he did well with the surgery and I was the basket case. Good luck, and keep us posted how you and your son are both doing, hugs from one mum to another, Iris.:hi: :grouphug: :flower:
