Any advice ladies? I have lots of symptomatic roblems but I don't know if they are all from IC. I've read so many of the IC stories and it seems like a lot of people have other problems that may be associated with IC or a disease along with IC. Anyways here are my various syptoms : I have servere fatigue and no energy, I have horrible pains before my period with lots of clots all the time, ofcourse servere mood swings, I have authritis in my foot, constant on and off lower back pains, tons of tension headaches, migrasins, TMJ in my jaw, I get wswollen lymph nodes behind my ears off and on without an infection, off and on reoccurant diarria, constant off and on cramping, sometimes servere shooting stabbing pains in my vaginal and abdominal area pains in my knees and legs off and on, anxiety problems, diagnosed with PTSS, off and on depression since I was young (which is better), off and on tingling of my feet and hands, dizziness, and mental confusion off and on, a feeling of fogginess or something like that, and swollen ankles, trobbing pain off and on in my back as well. I am 25 and think that I shouldn't feel this bad. I also had extremely aweful pregnancies off and on anemia during pregnancy with complications such as servere bleeding throught the first with blood clots had to be on bed rest, secong constant yeast infections bed rest tons of pains the shooting kind, urinary frequency, waking up tons at night, the third had constant contrctions that wouldn't go away bed rest and was on breathine. If you could give me any advice maybe from experience or anything I would greatly appriciate it. I just want to feel better. I have 3 kids and I'm struggling here. Sorry it's so long. I would GREATLY appriciate any help. Thanks so much - Chris

The symptoms you describe could be from so many things that it's completely impossible to give you any advice other than to see your doctor and absolutely insist on being tested until you are diagnosed.

It might help to keep a journal, listing your symptoms at various times during the day and take it with you to your appointment.

Sending healing thoughts,
Donna

Wow, you shouldn't have to suffer like this.

I can tell you when I read your post about painful periods, clots, diahreha, cramps, severe back pain etc. that sounds alot like the endo I had. I would definitely get it checked out w/ gyno through laproscopy. I had a severe case and suffered for 3 yrs. before I had a complete hysterectomy 12 yrs. ago and have never had any of that pain again, best thing I ever did. I can't comment on rest.

Sending you warm hugs,
 :toosh:

I think you should see a rhuematologist and be screened for fibromylagia or chronic fatigue syndrome. I have fibro and IC and many of the symtoms you describe. I also had bleeding in pregnancies and many miscarriages. That turned out to be an autoimmune blood clotting problem. These things are all related!
Good luck.

I had severe fatigue and fogginess. I could not think and was severly out of it. I had only been diagnosed with IC. A six (6) week treatment of DMSO turned the lights back on. I was suddenly vertical. I used to sleep every hour I was not at work, but the DMSO really solved the bulk of the fatigue.

However, there were other problems and the DMSO wore off (it does help to redo it). I have not yet figured out the cause, but had done some additional testing to try to figure it out. My blood tests showed I had a wheat intolerance, and a high ANA (an indicator of an immunological disorder). I went to a rheumatologist because they suspected Lupus, but I was negative (at least for now). I had no joint pain or other Lupus symptoms.

I knew food was a factor in my IC, so I went on an exclusion diet. I was surprised that this not only helped with the IC pain, but also really helped with the brain fog. I used to read a letter 5 times to get its meaning, but after I was on a strict diet, everything became amazingly clear. I felt like a million bucks.

I agree that you should see a rheumatologist. The ICN website has a list of related conditions that you can investigate. You can also try doing an exclusion diet to see if you are having a reaction to food.

I am now being tested for food intolerances by a GI tomorrow. In order to identify my intolerance, I had to go back to eating all the foods that caused me problems. I can tell you as I type this that I am having trouble focusing and thinking. For me, food was at least a big contributor. Also, no Dr. ever told me what to look for or how to figure out or solve my problem. Good luck. Jala.
