lately I've been trying an alternative way to dealing with IC. I'm doing NAET.
its a holistic approach of dealing with your body's allergies, working with the bodys' own meridan lines. so far I've been doing ok. I feel really positive after a session and until this week feeling great. Unfortunately I came down with a kidney infection. other than that, I actually started to feel normal. I am now working on the emotional things that my body has a reaction to, like myself. I think my stressing out is my main flare.

I am not saying its a cure or that you should run out and do this. I just thought I'd post this and maybe give you all more info. this is my personal choice to try this, I do it solely on my own. but I will let you know results as they come in.

hope your holiday was pain free and unstressed.

I believe my IC was triggered by stress as well and makes it much worse. This all started for me 2 months ago during the most stressful time in my life. Please keep me posted as to how you're doing with this treatment. Good luck!

Hi Bromwynn,
I just read your post. What is NAET? Sounds interesting.
Thanks,

I also do NAET - it has helped my allergies and fibromyalgia a lot! It hasn't done much for my bladder though :( How far into it are you?

It can also detect when I actually have a bladder infection or when it's just irritated.. which has helped me stay off of antibiotics when NOT needed, which has been fantastic. I also go to my practitioner when I am in a flare and it helped my body recover from it a lot faster.

I hope you continue to have success!

NAET is body testing using your own "power lines" called meridan lines. the gal who is testing me uses vials filled with whatever I'm testing for's energy. I tested for vitamin c last week. there is vit. c in alot of foods, like citrus but many veggies. I passed it,rather my body accepted the vial's energy of vitamin c and now I could eat an orange if i'd like to. (i miss fruit badly-I chose to test it for this purpose.)
I should point out it is eastern kind of medicene, that the mind can influence the body in accepting or rejecting things based on negative and positive reactions, memories, even trauma. some people will call this "woowoo" but for me, I know that if my stress level affects my IC, I've also noticed that people, more so than diet affects my stress.
I am not sure now if my IC is as severe as the pain clinic told me it was,and I get more positive reaction and feeling after I go to my NAET than I do after talking to my IC doctor. for now this is working more and I'm going to try to see how christmas goes doing this. I know why I got the infection, the NAET actually told me my back was hurting because of IC. I figured kidney or bladder infection after that. so far I just started testing for emotions and family members-it is pretty spot on !

let ya know as I go,
hugs my awesome ladies!
