Is anyone taking this version of Prosed? It is atropine free. Looking on the web I discovered atropine is an antispasmadic. Just noticed that my doc prescribed this one instead of the other....not sure why. Thoughts about the different prescriptions and wondering if anyone else is taking this and how it works for you.
My IC symptoms consist of severe urethral burning....it's awful. Frequency and urgency as well.

I used to take Prosed DS. My symptoms improved so I don't need it anymore. It does contain hyoscyamine sulfate, which is a smooth muscle antispasmodic. Prosed also contains a urinary analgesic as well.

I do remember it helping me. The "orange pills" - Azo and the like, I'm getting old and I forgot the proper name for it - make me sick to my stomach, so the Prosed did help somewhat when I had urethral and bladder pain without the stomach upset. When I had a severe flare it didn't touch it, though.
