Well guys..here I sit, waiting for this stupid procedure (nuerostimulation)..I'm supposed to start school on June 21st and my pain clinic is all in a disarray because the guy who schedules procedures quit the day after the doc recommended it. I'm very ticked because I've been waiting a month and have called nearly everyday to find out the status. They keep telling me I'm on the top of their list of priorities but things are screwy cause this guy quit. It's hard to believe the lack of competence. I'm beginning to get stressed..at least my psych has had time to walk me through the procedure in my mind (hynotizes me, then goes from step to step in the procedure continuing to assess my stress and settling me down when I get freaked.) I've learned to do this myself when the pain gets bad. Of course, the percocet helps too.
Anyway..just venting my frustration. I am so tired of this...I am SOOO done with this damn disease. It needs to just go away!!!!!!
Anyway...love ya all..thanks for letting me vent!

Can u believe it...I waited for weeks, finally started whining today and got my appointment this afternoon. I'm all set for the trial on May 27th. AAAAAGGGHHH. Now that I got it, I don't want it:D
I'm way too uptight for this stuff:dogrun: But hoping it helps. Anyone know, how long after the trial stim do they put in the "real one", (assuming the trial works)
Thanks
Tracey
It's only a matter of the dr being able to get it set up with the hospital's time table. Some hospital's take longer because they don't have alot of rooms available.....other bigger hospital's you shouldn't have to wait longer that 2 weeks.
I am sending many many prayers and hoping for the very best outcome for you~

Thanks Teri...I appreciate your kind thoughts. I have to take them all with me on Thursday and meditate on them. My psych has taught me a procedure to go hibernate in a warm cave under the ocean waters (But I can magically breathe) to help me through the temp procedure. I guess they figured after the spinal block I had in March and the fact that it took not only the procedure staff but the billing clerk and office manager to come in hold me down, (Even sedated) that I needed some coping skills. I want my psych to be there but I don't think he can be. He has such a soothing voice.
Thanks again.
Tracey
