I am 43 and have a history of cancer. In April I had a cryoablation to eliminate heavy periods. Still on the pill as they cannot be 100% I cant get pregnant. I also have been diagnosed by two different doctors...a homeopath who says I have food sensitivities that cause cystitis. An UroGYN says I have pelvic floor disorder and gave me vesicare. The peeing every 10 minutes only seems to occur when I eat one of the foods on the "sensitive" list. Which is a lot of gluten items but also potatoes, and some vegetables.

The issue I have and I am not sure who to address is burning "down there". It does not occur while I am urinating. I have been tested repeatedly for UTI and yeast, both are negative. Heat helps some. As does water.

Recently I began having hot flashes as well. GYN said becuase of the cancer treatments I could go into menopause early. So is this Urethrea pain? vagninal dryness? Both? Neither?

Not sure who to ask.. GYN? Urogyn? PCP? Everyone likes to pass me to another so I want to be really specific and get the right one.

Or if you have any suggestions to cope, they would be welcome.

Please help.

I don't have answers for you but I have found in desperation that i freeze a bottle of water, put it in a soft sock and hold it between my leg and this helps a bit better than the heat.

also my want to try lidocain ont it numbs the area for a but and helps.

Could your gyn examine you to rule out atrophic vaginitis? Sometimes vaginal estrogen is needed, but with your cancer history, I don't know if you're a candidate. There are gyns who just specialize in vaginal disorders. Maybe get out the phone book & make some calls.

I don't think it would hurt to talk with all of your doctors. One just might have an answer for you. Seriously, I always start with my primary care doc.

Warm hugs,
