I think I've posted bits of this elsewhere, but thought I should put it here. My sleep quality is vastly improved, is consistent, & is like my pre-IC days, from what I can remember of 26 years ago. I did have to set the Interstim up to a certain level before I could tell any difference, so that's what threw me off for awhile. I'm also treating my allergies, because they were affecting my breathing at night, but I didn't know that until I had a sleep study done (post-Interstim).

My volumes are definitely better, so maybe I won't need a hydrodistention after all. I'll measure them at some point before I go back to the uro for my followup. It's still just amazing to me that I wake up only once at night, after 4, 5 or 6 hours, and that my bladder holds so much.

I'm trying to get used to having my Sat. mornings back, instead of spending them sleeping. It's so weird to wake up about 8:00 a.m. & feel like I'm done sleeping. Before, it would be 10, 12 or 2 before I'd get out of bed. It's like I got a present of extra time in my life.

I get married the 22nd & then am off to a Hawaii honeymoon, so this is great timing to be feeling better. My fiance has been great through all the surgery & my ups & downs. It seems like my whole life is changing!

I forgot to add that my rheumatologist sees improvement in my fibromyalgia already, due to the improved sleep. She's excited that it might go away completely, but I don't want to get my hopes up.
