I am having a regular cysto tomorrow. Will my Urologist be able to diagnose IC with that test or is the only way with a cysto and hydro?

It's possible, but many IC bladders will look totally healthy and normal during a regular cysto --- I know mine did. The interstitial cystitis didn't show itself until my bladder was stretched during the hydrodistention.

The office cysto was done as a part of the ruling out process.

Hydrodistension is rapidly losing favor with urologists as it can cause more problems. It isn't needed to make a diagnosis. I'd suggest reading about the pros and cons of the procedure. The pin point bleeding can and does show up on healthy bladders and may very well be caused from the hydrodistension. The current definition of IC is "an unpleasant sensation (pain or pressure) perceived to be related to the urinary bladder associated with lower urinary tract symptoms of more tham 6 weeks duration in the absense of infection or other identifiable cause." IC is a diagnosis of exclusion. An office cysto can rule out cancer and other causes of symptoms and is a good idea.
