Hey there, I have recently been experiencing numbness in my right hand and joint pain in various extrementies which comes and goes. Thought it might be a side effect of one of the many meds they have me on, but when I spoke with the nurse she didn't sound as if it could be.
Doc is suppose to call me today, has been on vacation. This has been going on for about two weeks now and I am sick of it and more than a little worried!
Any one else experienced any thing like this?:hmm:

Right arm eh...could it be carple tunnel? Many of us experience joint pain that have IC...for various reasons I guess...includding fibro and arthritis. The only way to know the cause of yours is to see a doctor. I have had some arm pain that I believe happens when I am most acidic...and probably is from gas according to my doc. Sounds odd...but I have come to believe him.
Hope you feel better soon.

I'm glad you will be seeing your doctor. One of the things it "might" (and I stress the "might") is a deficiency of either potassium, calcium, or magnesium. I'm sure your doctor will do blood work to check that out.
New symptoms always merit a trip to see a doctor.
Sending healing thoughts,

Hi hound dog
I have the same symptoms and have been diagnosed with tendonitis or tennis elbow. I had a bi-lateral carpul tunnel done in 1995 and had similar symptoms then. This time the main pain is in my right elbow and the numbness is in the hand and fingers. My hands also get pins and needles in the night too.
I would see a doctor staight away, he can then tell you what yours might be.

Hi all, thanks so much for sharing your experiences and thoughts. All extremely helpful!
Another question....how long does it typically take your urologists to get back to you or their nurses. I left a message for him Monday for when he would get back from vacation today, then I left another message for him at 9 am incase he didn't get the other one. Now it is 2pm and i still haven't heard a thing. I have found this typical for this practive, the doc is a recognized expert for IC and I would hate to switch. But always having to waite so long for a response and somethimes not getting one at all is bugging me.:headbang:
Is this typical for urologist practices? Are they just insanely busy?

Hi Jenna,
My uro usually doesn't return patient calls until at least late afternoon, usually. One time, he even called me at about 7:00 pm! His deal is that during his office hours, he is just constantly seeing patients in the exam rooms... and he wants to give as much attention to them as possible. As soon as he finishes the last patient, he goes to his desk and starts returning calls... and sometimes works really late doing so. He always returns my call that day though.
Perhaps your doc has a similar policy.

Yes hopefully so. That would be fine by me and I know that he is busy. There have been a couple of times though when I haven't been gotten back to until the next day or not at all. I had to keep calling and bugging them which I really hate doing. Feel like I am annoying them. But hopefully they were just crazy busy those times.
Thanks for your reply.:)
