Well guys, tomorrow is the big day...at least I only had a few days to sit and worry. This is when it stinks to be a nurse because you know way too much...I am positive there will be a good outcome though...my pain is so severe right now and my urine looked so yucky that anything can be better.:D I am flaring so bad that I could see fragments of lining in the urine cup and my urine had so much blood it looked like Jason and Mike Myers had done their final battle in my bladder. Will be interested to see what the pics look like. The only thing that ticks me off this go around is my mother in law. Nice lady most of the time but kinda self absorbed and useless in a pinch. I live 30 minutes from my job and where I'm having the procedure done.(Don't worry the work reference is only background info--not going back to work til Monday) I make the blasted drive everyday. So first I ask her if she will take me and drop me off...and she says my allergies are bothering me can't you ride in with some one you work with? I have to be at the hospital at 7:15--so then I asked if she couldn't take me, could she take Lindsey to preschool for me(we live on this side of town because she said it was better for her)which BTW opens at 6:30. Anyhoo--to be at Same Day Surgery on time and not driving myself, I need to be leaving by then. In the meantime, one of my co-workers is taking me in--one problem resolved. So then I ask(because it is 15-20 minute drive to her house if Lindsey can spend the night because otherwise I will have to get up at 4 in the morning, get myself ready, get Lindsey up, leave for her house by 5, drop Lindsey off at her place, all to be back to catch my ride so I don't have to put her out too much...what does she say...I can't deal with her if she wakes up in the middle of the night so bring her in the morning. No negotiation. Mind you the child has her own room at Grandma's. While I understand that she has her own life, I never ask her to watch her at night, weekends or take her to daycare on a normal basis--it's always on her terms. Part of the reason I moved to Vegas was to be near family...this is crazy. My poor father-in-law(a saint if you ask me:angel: ) has been volunteered to pickup the sickly daughter in law ...I am tempted to ask to stay overnight(since ins isn't an issue) just so he doesn't get stuck missing work and I might get some rest...MIL will now take Lindsey to daycare and pick her provided I meet her conditions. Sorry to ramble--will let you know how the c/h and instillation go. Have a great night all and thanks for your continued support.

Hugs and  es,
Barb

Well, survived the hydro--found out my distended bladder capacity is down to 500cc and my functional bladder capacity is 250cc. Lots of bleeding and ulcers and one stiff bladder. I am sore, but I have to say overall my pain is about 75% better--the instillation and catheter have made me spasm all over the place, but all in all, the pain to my back is better. It's about time. We are going to New York on the 27th so for once my body is cooperating. Thanks for everyone's good wishes. This is the first hydro with this uro and he says we should do them before I get this bad and in crisis mode from here on out.

Hugs,
Barb

Hi Barb... glad you survived the procedure, and I hope the healing process goes smoothly. Sorry to hear your bladder looks so bad, but I am very glad you feel the hydro is already helping! :)
