ARRRGH...
Well, this morning my bladder hurt, so I knew it wasn't going to be the greatest day.
However, within the last hour, for the first time in several months, my IBS has started rearing its ugly head (of course... I just posted yesterday that I haven't had any problems with it for ages).
And I have the diarrhea kind of IBS, so that means if I am not in the restroom because of IC, I'm in there because of IBS. Plus, having diarrhea ALWAYS makes my bladder start hurting... I guess it just wants to get in on the fun
My bladder and my intestines are having a contest to see who can hurt worse right now!!!!
ARRGH... I guess I'll probably go home early if this keeps up.

I hear ya, Jen. Although I don't have ibs, ever since my gallbladder was taken out I always have to go. And it's the same for me too-diarreha constantly. Oh, what fun.

I think diarrhea is worse than IC --- fortunately I don't get it often, even though I have had my gall bladder removed. I hope you feel better very soon.
I had a really bad bout with parasitic diarrhea a couple of years ago and we ended up putting a UV filter on our well just to play it safe. No problems since so that must have been it.
Hang in there.
Warm healing thoughts,
Donna

Yeah, the diarrhea part is pretty much worse than my IC, I agree with Donna ... I hate it!!! I took some Immodium and that seems to have slowed down the IBS enough so I am able to be more than 10 ft. from the toilet again, and can get some work done. But I still have rumbling around in there -- and some pain -- so it hasn't quite decided to quit for good yet.
I hadn't had many IBS problems for about 5-6 months... my last episode was in the beginning of December. Generally, I can keep it under good control with diet... for example, raw onions are one of my worst triggers for IBS (and some for IC too).
I don't know what happened today... perhaps there was something hiding in the food we ate for dinner last night.
Ugh, Donna, the parasitic diarrhea must have been horrible. My husband's grandfather lives in Wisconsin and also has a well. Last summer, he had to have a filter installed on his too, because of problems with parasitic diarrhea. It was awful, because he is almost 100 years old and we were afraid .... he got so weak and dehydrated!
I hope you get feeling better soon. I hate flaring but I hate diarrhea more.

Oh no, Jen!
I know exactly what that's like! Some days it's like you might as well drag your computer into the restroom and work from there! Ugh! :toilet:
I hope your IBS calms down soon and you get some relief. Can you use those ThermaCare patches? I find they help if my IBS and bladder are acting up.

Hi Jen,sorry to read about your frequent visits to the :toilet: I know you have much better things to do, than being the best friend of the porcelain bowl. In all seriousness hope that the IBS starts giving you and your bladder a rest. Take care and hope you start to feel better soon, hugs and love Iris.:hi:  :grouphug: :flower:
