Does anybody have some advice for frequent yeast infections?? It seems like I am no longer sensitive to Fluconazole.
Any advice on how to treat and how to prevent the next one? It hurts so bad!
Thanks so much!:bonk:

I don't really have any advice for you, I take a dosage of Fluconazole once a week when on ab's which is very often, I take it before I actually get the symptoms upon dr. orders.
You could take a good probiotic, go to a reputable health food store and ask what kind to buy, mine have to be kept in the fridge, the problem with probiotics are not all created equal. You eat yogart with probiotics but they don't ussally have enough in it to get rid of a yeast infection, you can buy plain yogart with probiotics and open a capsule of probitic and mix it into the yogart and insert it vaginally over night, wear a pad it will leak out over night, it is kinda messy but it does help.
Probably where i should have started though is get checked out by a dr. first he can test to tell you what kind of yeast infection it is and which are the right meds to use.
Once yeast infection products became over the counter people just use the one they are familiar with, but each one is a bit different.
Just some suggestions. I have more problems with getting yeast infections in my mouth from using a steroid nasel spray while on ab's and the med used to treat this is different from vaginal treatment.
Go discuss this with your dr. there is just too many varriables to it. Also my son's gastro said once you start taking probiotics you need to keep taking them. Of course they quite working as soon as you quit taking them.
Keep us posted how you make out as I am sure other have this problem too or may develope this problem.

I get them too and am now on a strict yeast free diet. After taking all the drugs to knock it out and the symptoms persisted I went on the diet and after about 3 months I am seeing some relief.

Oh, and my doctor told me some medications can create extra yeast so check to see if yours do.
