I just got a script filled for Urelle at the same time I picked up my trusty ole Effexor XR (atypical antidepressant). I noticed Urelle has methylene blue and Effexor XR specifically says not to take the drug with methylene blue. I asked the pharmacist and did not quite understand the explanation for why it was ok, but he said Urelle was safe to take with Effexor. I am calling a different pharmacist tomorrow (they seem to know better than Dr.'s). The Urelle does not say anywhere not to take with an antidepressant. Do any of you take it with an antidepressant or understand what this is about?

I suggest you ask your doctor if you don't get an answer from your pharmacist. You can also do an internet search for "drug interactions" and might get your question answered there.

Aha, both Dr. and a different pharmacist said its ok to use once in awhile at the doses I am on. But for anyone else who reads this, they might want to ask specifically relating to their doses of the types of meds.
