I received the following email this afternoon.

Alyssa's autopsy came back.... cause of death was cardic myopathy with obesity. It is a natural cause of death. Her heart was enlarged, weak and had fluid around it. Weight being a contributing factor of this. So her heart basically gave out.

This does give us some closure. We were concerned her medications played a role, but this was not the case.

Thank you for posting that email from her family. I know first hand just how devastating tragedies feel. Each day my sister is on my mind and I am still having problems believing that it's true.

So, I so empathize with her family. Sometimes I just want to know why?
