What food dyes are you allergic to?

I have not found out mine yet, But I know I'm allergic to the pills with orange dye. It gives me a big flare up.

I know this because I once had one of those cherry icees at the walmart. My reaction was immediate and severe. I had to go sit down just to deal with the headache and dioriented feeling (and I never sit down at the store). I think this and other reactions are similar to the IC sensitivity to preservatives.

To avoid these and other sensitivities, I try to eat only fresh meat and veggies (avoiding seasonings and toppings). Unfortunately, the cost of food goes through the roof (I try to balance this by eating lots of steamed white rice). However, the up side is that the cost of meds goes down. Jala.

I am allergic to all yellow and red dyes. I go into a flare the same day if I accidently have any. I try to stay away from all dyes and it makes it hard sometimes to know what to eat and medicine to take.

I know for sure red and thinking orange may be causing me problems too.

I hear they put it in meat like ground beef at the grocery store to make it look better. Also, not all ingredient lists indicate these type of things. Jala.
