A friend of mine made this, I don't know where she got the recipe. But now I'm growing my own pot of basil and looking for some mint to grow!
Sweet Mint & Basil Iced Tea
Half a bunch of fresh mint (about 1 ounce)
Half a bunch of fresh basil (about 1/2 an ounce)
¼ cup honey
8 c water (1/2 gallon)
Pour 4 cups of boiling water over the herbs and let them steep for about 10 minutes. Strain the tea, boil the other 4 cups of water and steep the leaves again.
Mix all of the tea and honey together in a large pitcher. Taste test it and if it’s too strong, add a little water to your liking. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Servings: 8 cups
